This is a fast security tool that detects unsolicited browser plugins, malicious softwares, spywares, most viral parasites and adwares. The latest versions are very thorough in detecting and eliminating threats to computer systems.
Tool design
It is designed to check windows registry, some system files and running processes. This makes the anti spyware uncommon in its mode of action, one that does not scan the file system like the rest. HijackThis lists all detections together as potentially harmful but does not categorize them into those that are malicious and the genuine system programs.
This tool is comfortably used by those who are experienced and knowledgeable in determining which programs pose a threat and which ones are legitimate. It has no updatable spyware database; this is not really needed since it works by detecting registry entries that are suspicious in a given location in the system. This method allows the tool to identify pests and recent parasites.
Since some malicious software’s are usually hidden in the form of metadata files, this tool has been specifically designed to delete them in addition to Windows services that raise suspicion. In a normal circumstance, these services and files cannot be detected, but with this anti-spyware tool, they are easily removed.
